Trying to assess a person’s personality with their writing is actually not new. Keeping track of the personality characteristics through what the person had written under controlled conditions has been a favorite pastime of behavioral psychologists and market researchers. The “Profile of a Twitter User” was created by Timon Singh of NGONews. He was inspired by Guy Kawasaki’s 6 types of Twitter users—the Newbie, the Brand, the Smore, the Bitch, the Maven, and the Mensch.
