The Origin of ISIS
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria(ISIS) became the richest terrorist organization in the world when they rapidly took over the massive Iraqi and Syrian territory in a bid to establish a new Muslim caliphate under the Sharia law. The extremists group is known for committing mass-murder, plundering Palmyra’s ancient treasures and spreading political violence across the Arab-Islamic world. ISIS, in its recent incarnation, was founded by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who wanted to add the Nusra front and create a single group, which Al-Qaeda leader, Ayman Al-Zawahri, opposed. ISIS carry a holy black flag embellished with Arabic lettering that Islamists and jihadists will recognize. Watch the history and origin of ISIS. See also Syria: Before and After Civil War.
