Step by Step Process of Surrogacy Pregnancy
Surrogacy presents an alternative way for childless couples who wish to have a baby but struggles in trying to get pregnant because of infertility problems. There are two primary types of surrogacy: traditional and gestational. Traditional surrogacy involved impregnating the surrogate woman with her own egg and the father’s sperm through artificial insemination. With gestational surrogacy, a donor egg is fertilized with the father’s sperm in a laboratory, and then the embryo, created through the procedure known as in vitro fertilization (IVF), is implanted to the surrogate. Here’s a step by step process of surrogacy pregnancy—from consultation and signing of agreement between parents and surrogate mother to child birth delivery and processing of birth certificate.
