Martial Arts Belts in Order

Martial arts schools generally award their students with colored belts to show their rank and dedication to their chosen art. The martial arts belt system began when Judo founder, Dr. Jigoro Kano, introduction the dan ranking to show the levels of progress among participants of the fighting style. Although different disciplines have different ranking system – like traditional muay thai use coloured short instead of belt – they are mostly beginner’s white belt to grandmaster’s red belt. Here’s the martial arts belts in order for aikido, judo, karate, capoeira, krav maga, kung fu, savate, taekwondo, wing chun, brazilian jui jitsu and Japaneze jujutsu.
