The smart car of the future won’t focus on torque and horsepower; they’ll concentrate on gears like radar range, pixel resolution and communication latency for automatic driving. Blind spot detection, lane-departure warnings, self-parking and auto-braking are some of the safety features made to make driving safer. In 2010, Google had developed a fleet of autonomous vehicle that had already driven itself safely for more than 700,000 miles on California roads.
