The first industrial revolution, which caused the growth of invention and manufacturing, started in Britain back in the 18th century. Several industries, especially textiles, watches, firearms, sewing machines, bicycles, horse-drawn vehicles and railway locomotives, witnessed rapid improvement in materials handling, machining and manufacturing process with assembly line.
