How Do Eyeglasses Work?

Prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses can correct vision problems, like myopia or nearsigntedness, hyperopia or farsigntedness and astigmatism, but how does it work? Both glasses and contacts use concave or convex lenses in order to bend the light coming into the eye. The lens refocuses the eye, aiding people with impaired eyesight to see better.
