The Sinking of the Titanic

The RMS Titanic is probably the most popular ship that ever sailed on Earth. Many of us have discovered this historic ocean liner in school, though there are a few little-known details about the sinking of the Titanic. In 1985, oceanographer Robert Ballard discovered the ship’s remains and find out that it had broken in half on the surface just before sinking at the bottom of the ocean. His studies inspired James Cameron’s 1997 film Titanic, showing the horrifying last moments, with the ship’s stern rising into the air before it broke in two and gone away.
